Proper vents for a mobile home

The amount of air that flows to each room is determined by the size of the ducts. Once pressurized all rooms should already be balanced. The diffuser may alter the direction of the air but the hot air will quickly rise and the cold air return from the furnace will such the colder air from all rooms at once down the hallway. Hence the diffuser is doing it's job, It does not need to be replaced. Trailer sized diffusers are difficult to get and match. If you cut the hole size larger to allow a house diffuser you may have unbalanced the amount of heat for each room... if you cut them all larger then it is back in balance again. Weather the air goes up or sideways is just personal preference. You can get magnetic shield to divert the air if you please for far less money.

New a/c goodman unit last year air coming out of vents not cold but everything seems to be running fine

Hello, this could be due to a lack of airlow or a low regrigerant charge. First check the air filter and make sure it is clean, make sure the blower motor wheel is clean and not dirty, also it would be a good idea to check tne evaporator coil and make sure it is clean. If the unit does not have any airflow problems most likely it is low on refrigerant due to a leak, in this case you will need a hvac tech to come out and repair the leak and charge the unit back up with refrigerant.

DeLonghi Pinguino PAC CT90 It is less than a year has quit coolin

Read instructions and see if it says anything about cleaning or filters. A.C units **** air in and there is a filter that probably needs cleaned. Also, while cooling, the vent to the outside should put out warm air. Also, if it is less than a year old, contact the manufacturer and they should help you out. Good luck.

Goodman CACF048B2A Air. need to know the location of the replacement filter

The disposable filter is always in the return air of an a/c unit. If your unit has a furnace attached in an upright position then the filter is under the furance blower wheel. You will have to remove the bottom access panel to see and replace it. If your unit is horizontally installed in an attic then the filter will most likely be up in that return air duct or possibly in the return air grille possibly mounted in a hallway or someplace like that.

A/C issue with 99 Grand Prix

Check the ac filter, it might be dirty and thats why it is not blowing out enought cold air. The filter is located under the wiper cover but behind the firewall on the passengers side. You access this by lifting the hood and removing the rubber type gasket that holds both together, right on top of the blower unit.

Do you have a heat pump? If so this is normal. You are probably used to a gas furnace. There are heat pumps that do have a delay though. Look on the circuit board in the air handler. There may be a set of pins that say 0-30-60-90 yours may be at 0. Also some digital T-stats offer that function for delay off to get the extra heat or cold from the system. Find out what the model number of the air handler and call the Goodman supplier in your area to see if you have these options.
If you have a gas furnace and it's not delaying the blower there is definately something wrong.

Replacing Jenn-air down draft with new unit

Since Jenn-Air has been acquired by Whirlpool, there have been an explosion of problems with their appliances.
Please research your intended purchase before deciding on a replacement:
Jenn-Air info
Considering the array of early failures everyone seems to be having with appliances (US made and foreign) bought in the last few years, I couldn't even recommend a manufacturer any more.
