Hello kmarinaccio

I just want to make sure I understand you correctly.

You bought the camera recently and just started using it. The image quality is bad from the start and now displaying nothing but "60hz"? This is all being seen on the camera itself?

Kind Regards

    Hi again

I'm assuming here , but if you say you just opened it that must mean it's brand new right?

You should take it back asap. The fact that it was fuzzy and dark could indicate ccd failure or malfunction as well as a lens assembly error which all fall under the standard warranty and cost more than the camera to fix.

What I still can't figure out at the moment is the 60hz on the screen. I know the screen works at 60hz but this does not explain why it displays it on the screen and apart from the screen , I don't know about any other component that works on that frequency except the power supply.

I just waited to get a reply from you before starting to go all out on this question as I would not like to waste my time so I will have a look around and hopefully get you some more detailed answers in a while.

    Kind Regards

As I'm looking into this I got to seeing the specs of the camera. It's pre-assembled fixed focus so a lens problem is highly unlikely unless it was manufactured with the error. A sensor error straight out of the factory is also extremely unlikely.

Furthermore , I found literally hundreds of problems with these cameras and to add to that Disney dropped it so there is basically no support.

There should be no need to use the cd unless you want to so this is also not the cause of the problem.

In my honest opinion I would take it back and ask my money back ASAP and rather wait a year or two and buy a cheap second hand entry level camera for your kids. Getting this camera looked at will cost $20 and a repair won't be economical and shouldn't be necessary if it is a new camera anyways!

    Kind Regards

Vista/cant hook up disney pix camera cant find driver?????

Well...
I have a camera...

So first you connect the cord to the camera then to the computer tower.
Then you Take out the disk.DO NOT LEAVE IT IN!!!!!!!
wait for it to load then when it does you'll have to click next, next, then finish.
In a few days go to the file you loaded them on.
then insert the disk and click burn pictures

I would ask someone like a specialist to see these directions before you proceed

My daughter was SO SO excited when she received Hannah Montana Disney Pix Digital camera from christmas she cried. She cried MORE when she took her first picture and didn't see anything on the display screen it was completely blue! NOTHING! $40.00 down the darn drain and my daughter feelings crushed on Christmas. I couldn't afford to purchase her anything else. Called support that 1-888-800-0507 something like that,,,,,it took me twenty-one minutes to tell me to return it. WHAT! They said its a defect! WHAT! When I returned the camera they didn't HAVE any, now she is really UPSET!

HELP!!! I need to purchase new software and charger!

You can get the software for the camera from here; http://store.digiblue.com/Disney_Software_s/60.htm
However the Pix line of Disney cameras all take batteries; the Pix Micro takes 1 AAA battery and the Pix Click and Pix Max both take to AA batteries but you have to take the whole faceplate off of the Pix Click to get to them.
