Do you have internet service? I would call your internet service provider and talk to their service department, when you get on your own computer. They can get you going.

I can't find anyway to connect my Emachine W3115

The eMachines W3115

The system features 10/100Mbps integrated Ethernet support for local area networking and a 56K ITU V.92-ready modem and fax port.

Select your "Start" menu from the desktop, right-click on "My Computer" before selecting "Properties." Select "Hardware" menu once the Properties menu pops up, and click your "Device Manager" menu.

Look for something marked as 802.11b/g WLAN. If you see it, this means you are using the right hardware for connecting your wireless router.

Go back to your "Start" menu, select "Control Panel" and go to "Network Connections." Continue by right-clicking on the icon for "Wireless Network" and selecting "Properties."

You should see three tabs for the window for Wireless Network Connection Properties. Choose "Internet Protocol" before clicking on "Properties," allowing you to connect to a network.

Click "Start," before going to "Control Panel," and finally to "Network Connections."

Right-click on the icon for "Wireless Network" while you are in the Network Connections window, and choose "Repair."

This will end your connection with your present wireless network and attempt to reestablish a stronger network connection.

Reboot your laptop to fix the wireless Internet connection problem if none of the previous steps works. Click on the "Start" button on your desktop and select "Restart."

Wait for about 15 to 30 minutes to observe if the wireless connection problem has improved
Make sure you Ethernet/internet is enabled in bios. Restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on your screen a certain key to press to enter set up (BIOS) press and hold that key to enter bios using arrow keys scroll to integrated peripherals

look for SiS On Chip Pci Device press enter make sure its enabled.
then recheck the driveri t should be there
k the driver it should be there
make sure its enabledPci device arrows key scroll to nstalled
if you computer came with a motherboard disk the driver could be on it
or this disk provided by your ISP provider Internet Service Provider

or you might have to download one

http://download.cnet.com/Realtek-RTL8139-Family-PCI-Fast-Ethernet-NIC/3000-2112_4-91313.html

if these packages are not the right

http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html
on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for
tick in either windows software or the all software box
eg: motherboard name wireless or ethernet driver
you might have to try a few times to get it right

Hope this helps.

Emachine E625 will not pick up my wirless connection, what am I doing wrong? The device is recognising the wireless connection however when I try to open up my internet page no connection is made

If your laptop is recognizing the wi fi network, you know that the internal wireless chip is ok. A weak connection will be recognized but will not enable the laptop to connect. Another source of the problem is that if the wi fi is security enabled you must insert the proper password for the laptop to connect properly.

My emachines D725 wifi connection is not working. i cannot connect to the internet.... i installed a wireless driver but still, i cannot connect to the internet.

Click on the start menu.
Click on Run
In the run box type ncpa.cpl and press enter.
This will bring up your Network Connections box.
Right click on the wireless network adapter, and see if you have the choice to enable it in the fly out menu. Also let me know if there is a red X on the adapter in that screen as well. If you do have the choice to enable the device, then select enable.

We bought a desktop emachine, and we already have wireless internet but we can't connect to desktop wireless ..why ?

The new machine's network settings need to have the GATEWAY ip address set to the ip address of the router which will be something like 192.168.0.1 depending on the router you're using. If you can't see any networks available make sure the wireless connection isn't disabled. Look at NETWORK CONNECTIONS, wireless connection and see that it doesn't say disabled. If it is simply right click and select ENABLE.

Emachine notebook doesn't recognize my wireless network.

Try running the Microsoft updates or getting updated drivers for your wireless NIC. It's even possible that the wireless card in the laptop doesn't support WPA security. Unlikely seeing as how the board is fairly new, but possible. You might also want to try getting a PCMCIA wireless card and popping that in.

first of all you need to check after connecting it with the network cable are you getting any ip address.
if its showing you media disconnected then you need to check the cables.you can also try to reinstall the NIC card from device maneger.you can also try to enable the device just right click on your network connection and click on enable.
