Question about Advent 4211c Notebook
Dapending on the year your computer was manufactured , there might be a built in "Recovery Program" you can use to repair it . With the computer off , press the power button and pay attention to the screen in the lower left and right side of the screen for a brief message that says something like : For recovery options press F12.... Or perhaps some other F key to engage the recovery process. If you don't get the key in time, don't worry, turn it off and turn it back on again, thenj start pressing and releasing whichever F key it related. Hopefully, you will be able to use the options listed to recover your original boot / system start up files. If you don't have a recovery option, you will need a BART utilities CD-ROM disk or a new windows XP install disk . good luck and take your time .
