i plugged my creative mp3 into a docking meant for an i-pod and since then it wont work unless its plugged into the wall, my other half has now wiped everything off it but his computer wont recignise it :( help xx

Hello bitchstress,

Unfortunately not all accessories are interchangeable. It sounds like the iPod dock may have damaged your Creative MP3 player. If the unit only functions when it is plugged into AC power, I'd guess that the battery or charging circuitry was damaged somehow.

You don't say what model the Creative MP3 player is so I don't know if the battery on this particular unit is replaceable or not. If it is, you might start there. Otherwise the unit may require service which you can obtain by contacting the manufacturer or through a local consumer electronics store (such as Best Buy).
