Can't connect to android phone

Hi Matthew. I cannot quite understand what you are really asking as the information is too brief. So, here are two answers - hope one of them will resolve your problem. First - if you mean when you connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable it does not seem to work in terms of enabling data to be seen and/or transferred, it is most likely that the cable is ONLY for charging and not for data transmission, so if you can borrow a data cable to try, that will show if that is your problem. otherwise, USB to phone data cables are inexpensive anyway. Strangely, the data cable can both connect the two and also enable charging - so Yes - why on Earth do they even bother with charging-only cables! Second is perhaps there is a different problem (as said - cannot determine from your brief query) so it could be that you need a driver update. Get hold of the FREE superb IOBIT Driver Booster (you pay for the Pro version should you need that but the basic excellent one is FREE to use). http://www.iobit.com/driver-booster.php It is vastly superior to all other driver updaters in that it will find missing drivers, such as for new items which may be your problem and will update everything. Good luck.

Im having problem with usb cable for my samsung sch-r360 . when i connect to phone from computer the phone powers down. what am i doing wrong

Usually when a Samsung phone plugs into a computer, it turns itself into a no-service mode, and displays only a charging screen. This is to prevent people from turning their phone into a modem. It should still be displaying at least a white screen, but it can no longer send/receive any data except for over the USB cable.
I hope this helps!

Hi,
I Would guess, that windows is leaving the handeling of the wireless connection to the NETGEAR software, and therefor not registering the device ad connected.

You can buy a USB interface cable to connect your phone to your PC. Make sure to buy the USB interface cable that is fit to your phone model since every model has different phone accessories.

System crashes and re-starts

N oyou not need to purchase new 1 /
But just make sure that your usb devcie is not conflicting with any other driver or device.
For that uninstall your zoom adapter usb driver then reisnstall.
Also some usb adapter give some memory space so if you have memory space on your zoom adapter then scan it for viruses or format it.
Then it works fine.
Let me know if you need more assistanse.
Thanks.

First unplug your router, then unplug your modem and for 10 seconds. Next plug the modem back in and wait it to reboot(on mine this a series of 4 lights that light up in sequence, when the 4th light stops flashing, reboot is complete). Finally plug your router back in.

Can I use a wireless router with motorola phone tools. What I want to do is to connect phone tools on a desktop and then add a wireless router (USB) so I can get wireless internet on my laptop.

Your question is somewhat confusing.

For clarification, there are two questions that you could be asking.

The first question would be: Can your phone be 'Tethered' to your laptop with either a Data Cable or Bluetooth to have internet on your laptop by using your phone as a modem? (No wireless router is needed to do this.)

The second question would be, that you have an internet connection on your desktop computer and want to use a wireless router to have internet on your laptop via WiFi. (In this case, your cell phone would not be needed.)

If the first question is what you are asking, to use your cell phone as a modem to provide internet access to your laptop - then the answer is, Yes. This is what you will need:

1) You'll need a Data Plan added to your regular cell phone service account.

2) To tether your laptop to your phone, your laptop will need to have either Bluetooth installed or you will need a USB Data cable.

Tip: If your laptop does not have Bluetooth installed, you can purchase any USB Bluetooth Doggle (on eBay for a couple of dollars) and plug it into one of the USB ports on your computer. Once plugged in, the doggle will automatically download the Bluetooth drivers to your laptop. Otherwise, you can use a USB Data cable to tether your phone to your laptop.

Note: Depending on the model number of your Motorola phone you may have to download the Data Cable Drivers onto your laptop.

If your phone is not one of the following phones then you can use Motorola Phone Tools. (Motorola OS, Motorola Linux OS, Motorola iDEN, Motorola Symbian/UIQ, Motorola Windows Mobile and Motorola i-mode Handsets. )

If you need the Motorola Phone tools (if your Motorola Phone Model was NOT one of the models I listed above)
Just click here::

If your phone model is a (Motorola OS, Motorola Linux OS, Motorola iDEN, Motorola Symbian/UIQ, Motorola Windows Mobile or Motorola i-mode Handsets), you'll need to download the drivers for the Data Cable and install them on your laptop.
Since you did not include which cellular provider you use, I cannot provide you with the information to manually set up your cellular internet connection.

Now, if the second question is the one you are asking, that you have internet on your desktop and want to use a wireless router to get internet on your laptop, here's what you'll need:

1) Connect a wireless router to your desktop.
2) Your laptop should have a small WiFi switch or button on the front or side of your laptop. This will need to be turned 'ON". (See your owners manual for your laptop to do this.)

If your laptop has WiFi installed, on your laptop go to START > (Look on the right side of the menu box and click on: 'Connect to' -- If you don't see, 'Connect to' in the menu you'll have to purchase a USB WiFi adapter. A good one is a D-Link DWL-G132 and can be purchased on eBay for about $10. Install the drivers for it first before plugging it in to your computer.
Click here to download the DWL-G132 drivers:
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Wireless/dwlg132/Driver/dwlG132_drivers_130.zip

Once you download the drivers and plug in the DWL-G132 into one of your laptop's USB ports then click, START > Connect to > and select your wireless router.

These things are so delicate, if they are physically broken, they are basically unrepairable. You may have to buy new ones.
