Question about Razor Dirt Quad Bike

1 Answer

Problem w/ razor dirt quad. I replaced the control module, it ran for a few days then died. Bought another control module and it doesn't go at all. I checked the batteries and they are putting out just over 12 volts . The throttle power light is on but the two green lights don't light up at all. The charger light stays green when plugged I assume because the batteries are charged. When I check the wired plug to the motor I never get any voltage coming out of this (new) plug. Anybody have any clues?

Well this post was done a long time ago, seems like you have a bad battery. you should see 24vdc. The batteries are in parallel so it adds up to 24 volts. If one of them is dead it would only show 12vdc.

MY RAZOR QUAD IS CHAREGED BUT WILL NOT RUN

I have exactly the same problem and it started right around the time the "gracious" 90-day warranty period expired.....
The battery lights had been on for days, indicating a full charge, but nothing happens when turning the throttle. Battery housing is very cumbersome to open, but I'll try to disconnect the battery next.

Hi, my son has an electric razor quad bike with two 6 volt batteries. We have just replaced both batteries and the full charge light shows when you switch it on but it still wont start up. Can you...

The batteries should be 2 x 12v giving an output of 24v anything less than this the Razor Dirt Quad will not run. always make sure you buy genuine Razor replacement batteries.

I have similar problems with my razor mx350.

sounds like the CDI box is shot. This should be located either under the seat or the left rear side of the fuel tank if memory serve me correct.Fairly cheap part 20- 25 bucks.
