Question about Shure ULX1 Body-Pack Transmitter Microphone

1 Answer

When one of my co-workers went to release the microphone connector from the bodypack transmitter, he did not push the release button, but pulled it out. Thus, one of those 4 connector pins came out of the bodypack transmitter. Because there are not only 3-pins in the bodypack, I obviously cannot connect the lavalier microphone back up. Can this bodypack be repaired by just having Shure or someone replace the pin that was pulled out? Or, is it cheaper to just purchase a new bodypack transmitter?

Why Can't I add another remote to a merlin mt60p

If you purchase additional transmitters, the garage door
opener must be programmed to accept the new remote
code.
Program the Receiver to Match Additional Transmitter
Codes:
Using the orange "LEARN" Button:
1. Press and hold down the transmitter button you wish to
program to the opener. The orange LED will flash to
indiciate it is receiving signal from the transmitter.
2. Press and release the "LRN" button.
3. The sourtesy LEDs will flash once.
Ensure the door is clear of obstruction, then test the
transmitter.
Using the Motion Detecting Control Panel
(optional accessory):
1. Press and hold the button on the hand-held remote that
you wish to operate your garage door (1).
2. While holding the remote button, press and hold the
LIGHT button on the Motion Detecting Control Panel (2).
3. Continue holding both buttons while you press the push
bar on the Motion Detecting Control Panel (all three
buttons are held) (3).
4. Release buttons when the opener light flashes. It has
learned the code. If the light bulb is not installed, two
clicks will be heard (4).
Now the opener will operate when the transmitter push
button is pressed. If you release the transmitter push button
before the opener light flashes, the opener has not learned
the code.
To Erase all Transmitter Codes:
To deactivate any unwanted remote, first erase all codes:
Press and hold the orange "learn" button on opener until
the learn indicator light goes out (approximately 6 seconds).
All previous codes are now erased. Reprogram each remote or keyless entry you wish to learn.

Shure slx1 bodypack won't turn off

The Shure body packs will only last so long before needing repair. You can contact Shure and have them refurbished for about 90 dollars a piece. It will take about a week once they receive it. I am very familiar with Shure as they are my go to brand for all of my installs. If you would like assistance, information or pricing on replacements let me know. These can be fixed though.

The mic will disconnect from the transmitter. Simply push the black button and pull outward. Then, the black part of the connector unscrews from the silver part of the connector in order to get at the guts of the connector.

Phantom power?

Phantom power is used for microphones with "built-in" electronics. These mic's, receive a DC voltage through the mic cable that powers the internal electronics. I have never ran into wireless microphones that require Phanto power, so I will assume that your wireless problem(s) is being caused by something else. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantom_power

My Shure mics work fine but two bodypacks are not working. Are there fixable parts in there?

Try switching mic's with known good system. The small diameter cable going to headset and lav mic's are easily damaged. If the mic feeding the bodypack is good, fresh battery, mute disengaged and channels set properly then it's Shure factory service time.

1) Make certain the bodypack is turned on. The LED on the bodypack should be green.
2) Make certain the battery door is OPEN.
3) Point the batteries toward the receiver (6 to 8 inches away).
4) Press and release the Sync button on the receiver.

How do I increase the output wattage of my bodypack?

Hi,

There's not much what you can do on the transmitterside.
If you will increase the distance you have to work on the receiver.
Use some external directional antenna's and amplifier's.

Gerard

No worries, thanks for getting back to me. Another questions for you. What sort of batteries are you using. Are they rechargeable, alkaline, carbon zinc, or the Sennheiser BA 2015 accupack rechargeable.
