How do you release the locking feature of the Delta MS450 compound miter saw so you can raise the "arm" and make a cut? It's currently in the "down" position and I can not raise it. Thanks.

By going to this web site you can down load the users manual and identify the release pin.

Where the saw pivots on the table itself, there is a pin sticking out on the right side. You need to push down on the saw lightly and pull this pin out. That will release the saw.
Do this with the saw unplugged.

How do I release the arm of a radial arm saw to cut miters?

Near the blade there should be a clamp that allows the saw head to be tilted to cut an angle miter through the board. The other miter adjustment is a clamp at the top of the post to let the radial arm swing at an angle, this would be used in conjunction with the other adjustment to cut a compound miter. I hope you are not totally confused now.

I do not know how to release the blade so it will come up on a ryobi TS1342 miter saw.

When you are facing the saw look on the right hand side in the area where the arm pivots. There will be a silver shaft with a groove just in front and slightly lower than the pivot. If you hold down slightly on the handle and pull out on this shaft it will allow the arm to lift up. Locking the arm down is reverse.

HOW TO RELEASE DELTA MITER 250 SAW

All miter saws I've dealt with, there is some sort of peg located on the back arm close to the hinge. However, the arm is spring loaded so you may need to press down on the front of the miter saw to relieve pressure on the pin (peg) to allow you to pull the pin out and release the saw arm. I hope this is the answer you are looking for.

Change blade

OK first raise the cutting head. Loosen the screw that holds the guard in place and move out of the way. Find the spindle lock on the right hand side of the gearcase and turn blade by hand (UNPLUG SAW FIRST) until it locks. With the wrench supplied with saw put it on the blade bolt and turn it clockwise to loosen, it has left hand threads, remove outer flange and blade. Let me know it you need any more help
