I tried to install realtek high definition audio driver........but during the installation it asked for UAA HD Audio bus driver ....how can i obtain it for "compac presario SR 1931 IL"....its OS...

If you were to log on to the hp.com web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, for spare parts and service, Driver downloads and Installation Instructions as required.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

There are no XP drivers to be found with Microsoft as XP is no longer supported.

Some manufacturers may have a limited number of Drivers still listed.

I hope this helps.

My pc is no sound

Open control panel and device manager. Check and confirm your IDT High definition audio codec and sound device is installed and active. If you had a recent update and lost audio or have not updated windows as recommended I suggest you update and if recently updated restore due to a bad update install. Unless the computer has been damaged physically software issues seems to be the culprit and just requires trouble shooting.

Problem in sound card

Have you tried simply removing the device and then rebooting - windows will pick it up again and probably ask for a driver.

Emachine desktop w3653 is not putting out ajy sound

No sound is getting to be a common issue with Windows. The cause is the HD audio driver and/or the AUU driver. Both normally come in the same download. Here are a couple of links to try.

Realtek HD audio drivers:
http://www.softexia.com/news.php?readmore=4382

Sigmatel drivers:
http://www.download-provider.com/search/sigmatel+high+definition+audio+codec+driver.html?aff.id=1091&aff.subid=1000

Once you have download the driver set, open Device Manager and uninstall the current audio device and then restart the PC. After the restart, cancel the installation when the new hardware is found. Now run the setup file for the new driver. Restart the PC when the installation completes.

Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
