Question about Computers & Internet
Having the same issue here but not finding a solution, I thought I'd post the answer after testing it out myself!
On the underside of the Q40 are seven screws which are marked with arrows (if you look in the centre of the underside one is marked with the letters KBD so you know what you're looking for).
Before you remove the keyboard, be aware that there is a ribbon connector underneath it, which can be removed, but is stiff and isn't very easy to get back in by hand. You don't need to remove it to upgrade the RAM as it should be long enough for you to be able to work around it, but just ensure that you are careful when you do remove the keyboard as ribbon connectors are easily damaged.
Remove all of these screws to release the keyboard. Open up the screen, and GENTLY lift the keyboard free working from the side closest to the touchpad. Once the bottom is free, slide it toward you and away from the screen to release the two metal tabs securing the keyboard at the screen side.
Now the keyboard is free, jiggle it around until you have access to the memory slot. Ping out the memory by releasing the two tabs either side, and pop in the new chip.
To reassemble, slide the keyboard securing tabs at the top back toward the monitor, lay the keyboard flat, close, turn over, and put the screws back in.
Hope that helps!

Did you check your User's Guide? Nothing there? Information on adding RAM should not be a secret. Ask Samsung for maintenance instructions . . . in English.
It is not a good idea to tear notebooks apart until you know exactly what you are doing.
