Depending what unit u have most don't have belts now days the have direct drive couplers or single unit motors which act as motor and transmission all in one but more to ur point sounds like ur motor is getting week and needs replaced
you say it drain, but sometimes it won't spin,this could be your filter if it is blocked these new machines can sence it and won't let the machine spin easyest thing check your filter,you never know might be that simple
Could be the molex connection to the timer is loose or corroded. Inspect the timer and make sure that connection to it is clean and tight. Vibrations makes the plug back out.
If it's NOT a direct drive machine, then your problem is most likely with the Wig-Wag switch, located on top of the gear case! It ALWAYS goes bad and effects the Spin function.
