Check underneath if you can turn the motor easily by hand. It is probably the bearing/s that is/are ceasing up which causes the motor to strain and overheat and blow the fuse.

My machine fills with water and before the drum starts to rotate, it blows the fuse.

If your talking about tripping the breaker its designed to trip under load. Yes if something is keeping the drum from turning that put a load on the breaker and trips it..It will keep tripping until there's no over load on the drum...I'm guessing your talking about a washing machine... You can take the belt off the motor and if the motor is good it will turn on but not spin the drum...Then you know the motor is good and something is preventing the drum from turning. And if the motor is bad you can smell a burnt smell if you get close enough to the motor..Hope this helps

Machine fills but wont do anything else

try the Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse. or your motor coupling could have broken!

When i turn my waher on it starts agitating without any water in it

You can a defective water level switch or a clogged air line going to the switch.
Open the control panel to access the water level switch. Remove the hose from the water level switch and blow through it. Blow very hard until it is clear. Replace the hose on the switch. Set the machine to spin and turn it on. Let it spin for 1 minute. Turn it off then back to fill. If it does not work OK then, replace the water level switch.

Keeps filling with water when turned on

A lot of wahing machines use a bunch of micro-switches to turn the various solenoids on and off. If your washer has that type of switch, it could be sticking, subsequently sending an "on" signal to the fill solenoid.

When we turn on our front load washing machine it trys to drain. it does not start filling with water it acts like it might be stuck on the drain cycle

Seems it detects water from previous run. Is common phenomenon on bad drain hookups or faulty vacuumswitch. Rarely, the timer is damaged.
