Switch of the power; use a small screwdrive to press down carefully into the three small slots (two at the top, one at bottom left) to release the plastic clips while easing the front panel towards you.

Our heating and hot water keeps turning off

Sounds like a glitche in the thermostat. First, override the program & see if it does the same thing over the next few days.

Can you replace a danfoss TP9 with a honeywell ST699

I believe the TP9 is a programmable thermostat.

While it appears the ST699 is a timer that connects to a thermostat.

So yes, they both control 230Volt boiler-and-pump. But there are differences.
Google search each item and include .pdf in search parameter to find product manual for each, and then compare wiring differences.

Disregard wire colors. Instead wire by terminal designation. In other words :
Wire on "R" Terminal on old thermostat to "R" Terminal on new thermostat no matter the color.

If you go to your local home depot, and get a new thermostat, it will come with different diagrams for wiring in the instructions that are pretty easy to understand. I hope this helps.

Replacing Honeywell heating progrmmer

yep the wires will hook up to the same designations, just write down what color was connected where. You will need to set the thermostat up for your particular situation...gas, electric, heat pump, ect. The installation maunel is very clear on this aspect so you should not have a problem.
