Did you bleed the air out of the pump. The boiler has a flow switch that has to make before it will let the boiler lite. Make sure you have all of the air out of the system and are pumping or flowing water and not air...Also check to see if you didn't happen to of tripped the limit it has a manual reset. Red Button on the front of limit.

Riello oil burner RDB with red plastic cover at the front wont ignite. I've tried bleeding the valve. The motor seems to make an electrical humming noise for about 12 secs, then the system attempts to...

The motor should spin when the boiler is switched on. One end of the motor spins the fan the other end works the pump. The control box then starts the transformer that starts a spark. The control box then opens up the oil. The boiler should then light if any of the above or the boiler does not light, the boiler will go to lockout.
From what you say the motor is not spinning, thus it could be the motor or more like the pump.

YOU SHOULD NOT PLAY WITHE THE PUMP

If the wrong setting is made it could 1 burn out the back of your boiler 2 go to soot and the boilers in an hour would be filled up and become a fire risk. 3 not start at all if the setting is too low it is a fine line to get it to work and needs the right tools.

How to clean bar 14

Cleaning the calcium carbonate accumulated inside the boiler.Put only 200 ml of water in the water tank then add a 100 grams of citric acid cristals.Do not use coffee holder and open the machine and wait the heater ready lamp .Start the pump .Collect the pumpes acidic water in a cup. When the cup is filled stop the pump and recyle the water collected in the cup to water tank.Ater repeating this recycling 2 -4 times all crystals will be dissolved and the boiler will be filled with this weak acid solution.Wait the machine closed 2 hours. Then put fresh water and run the pump and remove the solution. Now your machine is free of scales inside the boiler. You will notice less noise during boiling of water inside the boiler(not pump noise). After some usage if you notice again that high noise of water boling it is time for another cleaning.

Brewing stops mid cycle

Sounds like dosage is too high and grind is too fine.

Rule of thumb with any saeco unit.

Do not grind any finer then 2 or your looking for trouble.

Open grinder, clean it out with a vac. Slapped it back on.

The reason it stops is grind is too fine, and the machine doesn't have enough pressure to pass threw the grinds, creates back pressure in the machine and the unit failsafes after a certain amount of time with and pressure.

Back pressure is what blew your boiler.

Under counter Bosch,grinding noise

It sound like a pump issue. Open the service panel, remove the pump and try to rotate its pulley manually, it should turn freely. In case it doesn't,check if it is clear from any foreign object or it should be replaced. Good luck !
