I have a BENQ 611c Projector which when connected to my Dell Inspiron 1545 ( OS Vista) immediately causes the Laptop Screen and Projected Image to 'shrink i.e. it is no longer 16:9 ( I thi nk that is the ratio) but becomes a smaller SQYUARE. Yet when I connevct the Projector to my Inspiron 1515 ( OS XP) it works fine.

The display properties are set incorrectly - it's set to Clone and the resolution is set to that native to the projector(800x600).
Access the  Intel® Graphics Properties window (press Ctrl+Alt+F12 keys) and in there make sure that the Clone  system is selected (even if Extended is the recommended one - but Clone is easier to use) and that the Primary device is the laptop's screen and the Secondary device is the projector.

You can choose either.
If you select duplicate, it is useful when you have to give a speech or lecture and you are facing the audience because the projected image is behind you and you can also see the image on the laptop when you face the audience.
The display frequency can be changes in Control Panel - Display

I have dell inspiron 1545 ultimate & window 7 it was before vista. Now blue tooth is not working please help me out.

Upgrading your laptop OS from Vista to Win 7, you have to reinstall your Bluetooth drivers for Win 7 OS(ie x86bit or x64bit) for the Bluetooth to function properly.

Dell Inspiron 1545 download @ http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INSPIRON1545&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Under "Network" -> Select your correct Bluetooth drivers versions for your OS Win 7 (i.e. x86bit or x64bit) to install.

Hope it helps.

Dell 4100MP Image Not Centered Thru Lens

No to your question. The lens is fixed it cannot shift horizontally only although there are projectors that can do this. I am sure you have the front foot retracted? I have had to do the same as you are doing or find a lower table.

My Dell Inspiron 1545 shutt down by itself...

Not necessarily, there can be all kinds of reasons for OS corruption.
  1. Run the hardware diagnostics from the F12 1 time boot menu or hold the Fn Key while pressing the power button. See if you have any hardware failures. If so call tech support.
  2. Since it is prompting to reinstall the OS, you can Re-Image the system using CTRL+F11 and the Dell Splash Screen for windows XP, or off the F8 menu for Vista

Computer used to work with projector, and now doesn't?

Have you tried pressing Fn F5? On my system (HP), by computer monitor goes dark when I connect the projector. Pressing (Function) FN F5 toggles the video between Computer Monitor, Projector, or Both.
Check the function settings for your computer. On my Compaq laptop at home, the video function is F4, so there may be different settings for your computer.
Good luck!
