you not describe what type of your camera ..
if you using external memory card, use a card reader to upload your images.

usually, the cd driver included when you buy the camera.

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I believe your CCD chip has gone bad. If all other functions are working, it is definite the chip at fault. Unfortunately, the chip is not available for replacement. Also the repair cost may out weight the replacement cost.
