Why did it stop revolving?

The driving element, be it belt or rubber puck, may have failed. It's not an unusual failure in a turntable that is several years old and rarely used.

Im looking for cartidge for turntable hitachi HT - 354 . Where i can find . Thanks

You can use any cartridge that you want. It's just a question of getting it fixed to the arm. But many have universal fitings or adaptions. It's just a question of want you want to spend on the cartridge. Generally the more money the better the sound.

Pioneer turntable is powering up but not not spinning?

Turntable Drive Belt

The chances are the rubber drive belt has either broken or stretched so that it has fallen off the drive pulleys.

You will need to gain access to the underside of the turntable to replace it.

With most turntables the process will be to secure the tone arm (a rubber band will do the trick) before turning the whole thing upside down and unscrewing the base.

Replacement drive belts are easily available on the internet. Search by make and model number of your turntable

I have an old Hitachi HT-45 turntable that I just pulled out of the closet. I plug it into my amp and I have to turn it up all the way to hear anything???

It will need a pre-amp to connect it to your newer amp. The old style turntables normally used a magnetic cartridge that older receivers / amplifiers had a special phono input (which incorporated an internal pre-amp) to connect and hear at normal volume settings. Newer receivers / amplifiers normally do not have this type of phono input, thus the need for an external pre amp device.

No Sound from Turntable

It definitely has to go through a preamp (a PHONO preamp that is...) something like this: http://www.phonopreamps.com/tc400pp.html
