I am able to use 120v RV Resort power and all 120v equipt works. The Coach batteries do not charge and were low. I chrged the Coach batteries with an externall charger. This is a know and widespread problem with the Prosine 2.0, yet when you call Xantrex, they want to charge you to return, repair and/or replace the remote panel. Shame on you Xantrex.

Xantrex Prosine 1800i "DCDC Shutdown" when connecting AC Load

Hi Schnupfy,

Well, it may be advertised as 1800 watts, but that is a peak. While the 230 VAC may be dead on target, don't expect it to run a mig welder.

Sustained high output is totally dependent upon the power source. What it's doing is protecting itself. DCDC Shutdown indicated 'An overload or system Fault'

Possible problems that would cause this:

  • The load is too high (what is the load?)
  • The power source is intermittent or weak
  • The power source is run through a distribution panel or isolator (Voltage drop)
  • The wiring from the 12VDC source is too long for the gauge used
Click here for a PDF copy of the manual. It is quite well documented.

BEST REGARDS,
MIKE

Prosine 2.5 fault 195

This internal fault code can mean so many things, but basically it more than likely has some internal parts that the smoke is no longer inside. They can be repaired however, email sunyout@gmail.com to discuss further.

I put in some more ram now???

I've had this happen before, the RAM module you just put in is defective. Put the old one back in and see if it works. If so, take the RAM back and get a new one.
