SOURCE: How do I change the headlamp BULB on a 2000 Hyundai Sonata

Open the hood, Look at where a long cable goes into the headlamp. There should be 3 screws holding the bulb in place. Take out the screws. The bottom screw might be hard to find but it is under the cable where the cable attaches to the headlamp. Once the screws are out, the bulb will come out of the headlamp still attached to the cable. The cable has a black covering around it. There is a plastic notch just above the bulb. Press it. It was a little hard to find. While you press the plastic notch, pull the bulb side (don't grab onto the bulb head itself, but just a little past the bulb) and the cable side apart. They are pretty tight, so you will have to pull hard. When the bulb side comes off the cable side, the cable will reveal a three-prong outlet. The bulb side will have three prongs that plug into the cable. At this point, bulb and cable are completely detached. Now, throw the bulb away, and go and buy a new one (10 bucks). PLug it into the cable, and then rescrew the whole thing (only 3 screws here) back into the set. Hope this helps. Only takes a few minutes. you only had to loosen one screw (and that might not even be necessary). This allowed a spring to be released. The other 2 screws were for the reflector and a hold-down tab for the spring. Simply release the spring from under the hold-down tab. An important addition worth adding to this procedure is "DO NOT TO TOUCH THE GLASS" on the new bulb. Wear clean gloves or use clean shop towels. The oil/ sweat etc. from your skin will greatly shorten the life of the bulb.

SOURCE: S60 HEADLAMP BULB CHANGE

I have had the same problem and have managed to Fix it!!

Just behind the headlamp is a black box that contains the engine management units. You have to remove some of this box......First unclip the two clips nearest to the engine and remove the top cover of the box. Then there are another two clips one by the wing and one by the engine that will release the lower section of the box. You will need a large flat screwdriver to open the final clip at the front of the box and, with some care, you can remove the lower part of this box. The engine management units ( the two silver boxes inside the balck box) will be left in place and should be disturbed as little as possible.

When this is done you can get access to the bulb. First remove the rubber cover from the rear of the light assembly. Then you need a flat mirror so that you can see inside the headlamp to see the connector, clip and bulb. Pull off the connector to the bulb - you must do this with the bulb still in place (you will not be able to remove it with the connector still fitted). Then you have to push the clip at the top to unlatch it and allow it to hinge down away from the back of the bulb. I bent an old screwdriver to 90 degrees and filed a small notch in it to help me push the clip and unlatch it. Note which way up the bulb comes out so that you can fit the new one the same way up. I know it will only go in one way but getting it correct first time saves messing about for ages! With the new bulb fitted, push up the clip and latch it in place again. Then fit the connector and test it before you refit the rubber cover and the black box. Remember to take care when removing and refitting the black box. It does come off - honest!

Good luck

SOURCE: side light bulb change on hyundai terracan

hi there
the solution is simple,
you only need to undo the screw on top of the side light/indicator. then facing the head light place a flat headed screw driver under the bottom lip of side light. the bottom of the lihgt is on a small push fit stud, use a sponge or cloth to protect your bumper paint work then just apply pressure gently to lever side light out towards you, It will come dont worry, you may then change your bulbs if you wish remove the whole light unit you will see the bottom bolt as soon as you release the side light. to replace just push back into place then replace screw. whole job takes about five minutes

hope this helps kevan hildred

How to change headlight lamp in 2005 Pontiac g6

To change the bulbs you need to first remove the 5 plastic pop screws on the front bumper. They're spread out at the top of the bumper right under the hood. Once you get those out, you have to remove the two hex bolts on each headlight. Then it gets tricky. You need to pull the light towards the front of the car until it pops out of the ball-bearing type mount on the fender. Once that pops out, you have to pull the front bumper forward while maneuvering the headlight out towards the front.

As per the manual it says as follows:---

Open the hood.

Hold the headlamp to prevent damage to the headlamp or to the fascia. Remove the bolts from the headlamp assembly. Remove the push-in-retainers across the front fascia. Remove the headlamp assembly. Lift the headlamp upward to release the locating tab from the front edge of the fender.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp assembly.

Remove the headlamp bulb access cover by rotating the headlamp bulb access cover counterclockwise, if necessary.

Remove the headlamp bulb from the housing by rotating the socket counterclockwise, if necessary.

Disconnect the headlamp bulb electrical connector, if necessary.

Remove the park/turn bulb access cover by rotating the cover counterclockwise, if necessary.

Remove the park/turn bulb from the housing by rotating the socket counterclockwise, if necessary.

Gently pull the park/turn bulb from the socket, if necessary. Install the park/turn bulb into the bulb socket.

Install the park/turn bulb socket into the headlamp housing by rotating the socket clockwise.

Install the park/turn bulb access cover by rotating the cover clockwise.

Connect the headlamp bulb to the headlamp electrical connector.

Install the headlamp bulb into the headlamp housing. Rotate the socket clockwise until locked.

Install the headlamp bulb access cover by rotating the cover clockwise.

Position the headlamp assembly to the vehicle. Lift the headlamp upward to release the locating tab to the front edge of the fender.

Install the bolts to the headlamp assembly. Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Install the push-in-retainers across the front fascia.

Close the hood.

Many of my 2002 Hyundai Starex (H100?) instrument panel bulbs have blown and need replacement. I would like to know, if possible, the bulb sizes that I need before opening up the panel. Is there a list...

Hi,
You could ask the dealer parts counter for the pilot light bulb, by looking at the parts catalog, you could also see the how many bulbs in there.
Hope that solve your problem!
Thanks for using Fixya!

How do i change right headlight bulb on a 2007 hyundai tucson

You change it like you'd change any headlamp bulb. There is an access cap behind the headlamp assembly -- remove it, then remove the connector to the bulb, then remove the retaining clip/spring holding the bulb in place. Then install/insert the new bulb in the same 'ORIENTATION' as the old one. Reinstall in reverse order... ALAKAZAM!... .done!

How do I replace headlamp bulb?

Some imports require the entire light assembly to be removed in order to replace headlamps. Look to see if there are angled rods on the back side of the light assembly. If so, see if the can be pulled straight up towards the hood of the car. When they are released the headlight will be able to come forward. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Changing the headlights

This picture shows the rear side of the headlamp assembly. I've circled the access caps to the high & low beam bulbs (they just twist off (counter-clockwise) to access the bulbs. Depending on which engine is in your Tiburon, access is easier if you remove three 10mm mounting bolts to the headlamp assemblies and remove the entire headlamp assemblies (see illustration)
c173c7f.jpg You'll want to disconnect these two connectors .. then remember to reconnect them when you put the assemblies back on.

Hope this helps
