You can try removing the CMOS battery for a few hours. Did the BIOS update come from Lenovo website? What was the reason for the BIOS update, a problem? Altering the BIOS or the System Registry is like taking a stroll in a minefield, one wrong step and............well you know. I have a Lenovo 300 N200 (0769) Recently it has become very slow even though everything seems fine. I tried running defragmentation but on a check it said defrag not needed as there's a lot of empty...

The slow reason may be one or more problems acting together. The problem nowadays is that it is very difficult and time consuming to monitor and take care of your Lenovo PC. Even experienced users find it hard to perform such tasks on regular basis because you might need to prepare a huge amount of time and energy to deal with each issue separately.

If you want to fix the problems more efficiently, try the Lenovo speed up program, available here.

Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop not starting up, power light on

Keep pressed the power button of your laptop for about 30 seconds, the machine will power down.
--The above step may not be required as already so many days passed by.
Then plug it into the power adapter.
Switch the laptop on.
Boot in "safe mode" (F8 during boot).
This will fix any driver or some operating system issue during previous failed boot process.
Once it boots completely, do a normal shutdown and reboot your laptop in standard mode (no more F8 this time).
Now your laptop will be ready to use.
