Question about Sony CDX-T69 6-Disc CD Changer

CDX changer has power but doesn't want to eject after flat battery

Car battery went flat about a month ago. I had to put the code in to get the radio and cassette to work, which was fine, but since the flat, the CDX T69 hasn't been recognised when i've gone to change source through my head unit or through the steering wheel remote
The CDX has power as it sounds like it is trying to eject but then fails and does nothing.

Ideally i want to fix this myself as i know how much radio centres charge.

please help?

I resolved this myself in the end.
I unplugged the audio & power cables whilst the stereo and engine was running.
Then plugged back in.
I turned the engine off and stereo off as well.
I then unplugged audio and power again from the back of the CDX, left it unplugged for 10 minutes whilst the engine was still off.
I then plugged the leads back in and turned the engine on. the stereo recognised the CDX, but stayed on displaying "CD Checking". I switched to radio for 20 seconds, turned back to CDX and it selected CD 1 and has been good ever since.

I'm rather pleased with myself!

I think I put the magizine in backwards, I have pressed the eject button several times, but it does not eject. How do I get ti out?
It's almost impossible to insert the cartridge wrong, as it is keyed. If it went in without forcing it and your heard or felt a click as it latched, it is in correctly. More likely, the changer has lost power or malfunctioned. try unplugging the power connector for a few seconds to reset it. When you plug it back in, you should hear the motors inside whir. If not, you have no power going to it.

No you need a power soruce to eject.

Hi, Do you have to play the Sony CDX-454RF thru your car radio or can you just hard-wire it to your speakers and amps.Putting in a vintage car that doesnt have a radio in it.. Thanks, George
becouse the cd changer dose not have unough power to push the speaker

My car battery died.when i put in a new my cd player stop working
If your radio is still working, then your power is OK. The Sony CD changer gets its power from the Sony Unilink cable. It is possible that it passed a power spike down to your CD player while hooking up your battery cables.

I just had a CDX-757MX just die a few days ago myself. My radio, amps, and other changers are still working. Could be an unfortunate coincidence.

Cd changer not working at all.
You need to put a meter on the power wires to make sure you are getting power. If you still have a problem, post a comment and I'll help you dig further. Hope this helps

hi there that is sorta the problem i had and if you press eject nothing happens its still in there what i done was disconnect the battery for at least one minute and the cd changer lost its memory and was fine so i ejected the cd magazine and cleaned all the cds and blew out inside the machine has worked everytime its woth a try

go to the control socket on the sicd and put 9-12 volts straight in to the two center holes. can't remember which way round but it only works one way and what ever you do it's not gonna blow it up
