The charging cable is different from USB flash cable. You can go through the booklet provided with the phone and it will show the diagrams of the cable and their part no. The charging cable has the two pin plug on one end whereas the USB flash drive cable will have USB heads on both ends, one which goes in the phone and the other which goes in computerMake sure that you down load the software which comes in the CD (which came with your phone) on your computer.

    Sir,
The pictures in Smsung cameras are generally stored in the memory card. You do not have to save as it is done by the camera automatically. If you want to download them to your computer you can do it by two methods. One , I have already described o you i.e. by USB cable. The other is by removing the memory card from the camera and then inserting it in the card reader slot if your computer has that facility.

Turn the Computer ON.

Make sure to Insert the Memory Stick in the Camera.

Set the USB CONNECT option in the Setup 2 Menu of the Camera to PTP. [Set the Mode dial of the Camera to Camera, press the Menu button, select SETUP-->SETUP2-->USB CONNECT-->PTP-->OK.]

How to get Photos From memory card to computer

  1. Hi
  2. Plug your Samsung mobile phone's USB flash cable into the phone and into the computer's 2.0 USB port outlet. When the computer detects a USB connection, a notification screen will appear in the lower right corner of the screen, above the task bar. The phone's software driver will be automatically installed to your computer's hard drive.
  1. Import your pictures to your computer. Click on "Import Pictures" when the "AutoPlay" dialog window pops up. Close the "AutoPlay" window to configure the import settings.

  3. Remove the Samsung USB flash cable from the computer and then from the mobile phone. Click on the "Start" menu icon, then select the "Pictures" tab folder. Your newly imported pictures should be stored in this folder. Please Rate this solution. Regards.

My usb cable for the Kodak EasyShare z710 is not uploading any of my pictures. I do not see the dialog box to even import the pics. Is it because I used my usb cable on a Samsung Cable that need charging,...

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I HAVE A SONY DIGI CAM MODEL DSC W-5. MY PC IS NOW UPGRADED WITH WINDOWS VISTA AND SINCE THEN IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DOWNLOAD THE PICTURE TO PC. THE INSTALLATION CD ISSUED WITH CAMERA DOES NOT COMPITABLE...

  1. Turn on the camera.
  2. Insert the recording media containing the pictures into the camera.
  3. Depending on your camera, set the USB Connection or Transfer mode setting in the menu to the Mass Storage , Normal , or PTP .
  4. Use the USB cable supplied with the camera to connect the camera to the computer. IMPORTANT:
    • Connection through a USB hub or other USB device -- such as a printer or keyboard -- is not supported and cannot be guaranteed. Connect the camera directly to a USB port on the computer.
    • If the USB connection from the camera is not recognized by the computer, disconnect the USB cable and repeat steps 4 and 5 using a different USB Connection or Transfer mode setting. If the connection is still not recognized, further troubleshooting is available.

    NOTES:
    • The computer will automatically install the USB driver for the camera.
    • When the camera connection is established, an AutoPlay window will appear.

  5. In the AutoPlay window, click Import pictures .
  6. In the Importing Pictures and Videos window, click the Import button. NOTE: After the pictures have been imported, the Windows Photo Gallery window will appear and display thumbnails of the imported images.
If this doesn't work there is an updated driver available
