I have a sony hdtv kdf-55wf655 tv. woke up this morning and tv won't turn on red lamp light on. figure i must have to replace lamp but can't seem to find the right one to order. plus, is this something my husband or i can replace or do we need a technician?

I ordered a new lamp for my sony wega 55" tv, it did not come with instructions to replace it, we have taken the back off of the tv. Is there anyone who can tell us how to replace it? We could not even see where it went.

Had the same problem, screen went black and lamp indicator was on. We went to www.sonystyle.com, searched for replacement lamp with the model number and it will give you options. Additionally, they were cheaper than a local dealer by $50 and shipping was free. Simple to replace. Good luck!

Having the same problem with our Hitachi LCD 60" It was working fine an hour ago, turned it off, and now when we try to turn it on, the red "lamp" light comes on.
