New memory card in Nokia 6500 Slide

I have just purchased a new Sandisk 2gb Micro SD card and when i put it in the phone it does not show in the Applications section like the old card did. Now i cant get the original one to work either.

It's due to the casing on the back of the phone not sitting tight against the inner casing. I had exactly the same problem till recently and all I did was take the back panel off the phone, and use my thumbs to bend the metal in a fraction just to the right of the hole for the camera. Why dont you give this a whirl?
