Question about Samsung CLP-500 Laser Printer
This message will not go away and I cannot find the source of the jam. There doesn't seem to be any way of accessing the top area to see if there is paper caught in there. I've tried everything I can think of and I still can't get it to work. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
There is a little pin at the top of the heating unit of the printer sometimes that pin breaks off and the printer cant pick up that there is paper that slides over the heating unit and tells you that you have a paper jam

On the top of the printer there is a button that you need to push down which releases the lock on the paper outfeed. If you put your right hand on the paper outfeed and pull up on it when pushing the button it will open and that just might be where the paper jam is located.

You can also check the paper size settings in your application when printing. If the printer has leeter size paper and the application sends a legal size document, the same error occurs. Microsoft applications do not create this error, but other such as Wordperfect do, for Wordperfect paper settings bypass your Windows or printer settings.
