Question about RCA DRC8295N DVD Recorder/VCR
If the problem happens with few disks, or with a single disk only, then the problem is the disk.
If you get the message with any disk, then it is probably caused by dirty lens.
Try first cleaning the lens with a cleaner disk kit. If that does not work , then the lens must be accessed and cleaned using QTips and cleaning solution.

You could just have a dirty disc and that is why it isn't reading. Just open the disc tray and blow inside real hard about 3 times. This should clean off any dust on the lens. Or you can use a can of air duster.
To check region code, go into the menu settings, go to region. See if is set to 0

The device does not play.
Ensure that a supported disc is loaded in the player label-side up.
Ensure that the disc's region code matches the player's region code.
Ensure that the disc's rating level does not exceed the player's.
Ensure that the disc is not damaged or too dirty. Clean the disc or try another disc.
Moisture may have condensed inside the player. Remove the disc and leave the player on for
1-2 hours and then try again.
or lense may be dirty, try using a dvd 'head' cleaner. this may help situation, if continues, may be internal issue and need repair.
