Just moved and got mine hooked up last week. Was working great and now I can't get anything. The reassuring "click" I've always heard when I switch between inputs is gone. Anyway enough about my issue, what specifically are you having trouble with?

I have a Denon AVR-2801. I use an optical cable from the TV for Audio Out to the receiver. I set the receiver to TV/DBS but when it comes on, it just says TV and I get no sound from the receiver to

You need to do the input assign. The receiver doesn't yet know that you plugged a cable in to one of the Optical ports.

If you have done the above, then the next thing is to check the amp's Mode button. This cycles the input between Optical and analogue audio inputs.

RE: Denon AVR 3300 - I cannot get the system setup menu to display on Phillips P50PFP5332D tv screen? All connected components work and sound great, but I cannot see Denon's Setup menu on tv to a

I understand, it's something I've misunderstood on my denon avr-790 as well when connected to a samsung 8000 series led tv.
The answer isn't in the receiver's settings (you can be on whatever source you want on the receiver end when toggling the menu). You need to toggle through the tv's sources to find the menu (usually found on hdmi 1). I've spent towards an hour recently troubleshooting only to find that it was the tv's source that wasn't set properly and I was trying to change the receiver's settings instead of the tv's source.
Hope that helps!

Im trying to hook up my wii to my surround sound and i have a denon avr-789 and im hooking it up to the aux outlet and im only getting sound no video

Connect all of your cables to your display and then connect another set of cables to your audio variable out from the television to the input you wish to get sound from on the receiver. Then make sure your tv is selected to the input you plugged the wii into, for example, Front video or Video 1 etc etc.

Loss of sound on the Denon AVR 2807 a/v surround receiver when I turn on and off lights in my house

Finally the problem was with the HDMI cable. When I pushed it in on the TV set the problem disappeared. It seems the connections must be quite firm on the HDMI cables otherwise anything may interfere to the sound.

Avr 2801

Is it the same amount of hiss on all channels? If not, it might be coming from the input source itself and not the receiver.
