I pluged in my keurig to to six plug outlet with a serge protector. I was making toast when my keurig was on. there was a blowout and the wire from the keurig to the socket burnt and it does not work. this happened before a couple of month ago and you replaced the entire unit and i appreciated that.. however this has happened again. i have cut off the damaged part which is the plug an about two inches of the wire. what do you suggest that i do. maybe the next time i will use a single outlet..if there is a next time. looking for help with this problem thanks jack schondorf plug no#set019 LR65066 E69228

Put a new plug on there, with the crimpits and electrical tape, dismantle the unit enough you can see where the plug attaches to, then disconnect the entire plug, get and old extension cord and cut it and attach that instead. Or even better yet, find a plug that has the grounded 3rd prong on it and use it and ground one end to the maker on a metal surface if possible.

My Sony mhc-ec55 standby is blinking and my stereo won't come on

Have your device being fully plugged into an outlet that works and turn off and take off any serge protectors and if it is still not working your device might be broken and needs to be repaired or replaced.

SAMSUNG TV UN65MU8000F KEEPS BLINKING SAMSUNG SMART TV ON THE SCREEN .THE RED LIGHT WAS ON AN BLINKING FOR A LITTLE BIT BUT STOPP. THIS HAPPEN DURING A LIGHTNING STORM.WHAT COULD IT BE

if you did not have all the electrics pluged into a power strip with a surge protector then it is toast I have one in every outlet and I have battery backup on all the computers and even tvs. so I have never had a problem when the lighs go out or any surges within the house. I had a small tv once and did not have that setup and it fried it adn one of the computers later on. so now I have them all protected. it is cheaper to get the surge protectors then to replace the computers and or tvs

I have a lg 65lb5200 tv that sometimes i turn it on and it has no picture.

It seems to me the tv is not getting enough power to turn on. make sure the tv is pluged into a surge protector and then to the wall. no power strips with other things pluged in. all by itself to the plug. you always want to put a surge protector on all the small and big electronics for if you do not if lightin come in it would burn everything up. you might have had ligting come in and that is why some of your stuff is having problems now. if you own he home get a whole house serge protector. it will save you in the long run becuase if there is surge from the power company or from lighting then all your stuff will be protected.

Does not power up. was on a surge protector. lost power in building several times during hurricane Irene

A surge protector is there to protect against high spikes in electricity and not fluctuations.

The possibility exists that the components were damaged due to fluctuations in the electricity received by your computer. It is for this reason that an UPS or Uninterruptible Power Supply would most likely have saved your computer as it helps provide your computer with a smooth supply of electricity.

One would assume that the power supply is somewhat toast however in most cases it is unfortunately the most fragile component that goes first, being the mainboard. See my published guide to help and diagnose the faulty components, entitled
My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

Make sure that the wall outlet is working, test it by pluging a device into the outlet, check that it is being powered. Also in some computer power plugs a Fuse is placed within the actual plug. If this is the case then you may be in luck as it would then be possible that the fuse is blown. One would then replace the fuse and presto good as new.

Let me know how it goes!

Take care!

Plug it in and nothing happens. no lights or noise. The two surge protection outlets draw power, the other six don't.

Unplug the surge protector (and all units plugged into it) and take it apart - you'll see how the outlets are connected to provide a closed circuit when on. Make sure all connections are secure and carefully put the unit back together.
You should be able to use all units plugged into it.

Speakers won't turn on

Make sure you are plugging in your speakers into a surge protector.

Try pluging in speakers to another (known) working outlet

If unit still does not power on, then unit is blown out.

No power to machine

Plug something else into the outlet to make sure you don't have a blown circuit breaker. Did you have an electrical storm while it was plugged in?
