My book shows 3 different configurations on one all but 2 of the pins are hooked up. If you want you could look the hook up info online. Or call the folks at (706) 270 3829 they will send you a email with it in it for free.

Hi, my name is John. The older tube type radios usually ran (ac) base or (dc) mobile, and would probably need a lot of work done to it to restore it, such as capacitors, they leak and no longer any good. You could be investing a lot of money in it. If you need further, I will be glad to help, I will post it here. Good luck... Hope this was very helpful..rate this solution on the 4 thumbs-up......John

Cobra 25 LTD - building causing a shadow area

The older base station was probably peaked and tuned by a CB shop, basically giving it a lot more power. Stock radios very rarely have a full 4watts of power, to tell you the truth. Mine now does 5 1/2 watts and swings to around 20 when I talk. Might be a good investment. Oh, the antenna can't be too big for any wattage. Might want to recheck the antenna's tuning, though...

The truckers wont pop the fuse at all, but I might recommend backing your RF gain down some when they are that close so they dont burn up your receive.

CB Base Station picking up electrical interference

i dont know what AC DC adator your using. you should look into a 12V power supply. or plugging that into a RF canceling power strip, like a monster power strip. TV's that are on or other appliances may cause high noise levels on the CB, make sure your coax is good, your antennas good, and all jumpers are good. its hard to tell with out looking at it, but do a quick once over of the system.... you are using a base antenna right? if not you need to create radials for a mobile you plan on using for a base.

Make sure the connectors on the coax are all on right, this causes problems a lot of the time. sometimes even brand new coax have bad connectors installed.

the old rigs are always the best , you can shove as much power in and out and they never break down. these things on the market now have no stamina and break down as soon as you fart.
