There are sending some mail about googles winning lootery and Msn/Yahoo Lottery valu of rs.40,200,000 INR by sending MSN/YAHOO LOTTERY INCOPORATION and Google Award Claims Dept some such mail...

This is what we call scams and frauds, just ignore them or if possible delete them, sometimes those mails are attached with spyware or virus. You need not to open them. Just imagine, how can you win without playing or without entering the competition? Never and never, it's not possible, even hardworking people earns through troubles and sweat, so don't ever believe them. Many people fell into this trap, but many have know their intension and have escaped, but still many more are ignorant and can still believe them. Most of those mails will show up on google search, try typing in the Subject line of the mail on google and search, you'll know what others are saying about them.
You can forward your mails to the following websites and emails:
Ripoff Report
Consumer fraud reporting
spam@uce.gov
Internet Crime Complaint Center

So don't waste you time and money for them, rather do your own work and report them to the given sites, services and emails mentioned above. There are still many more where you can place complaints, etc.. etc..

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Sound outbut problam

You need to confirm if you sound driver is installed. To do this go to device manager; right click on my computer/properties/device manager (vista)/hardware then device manager (Xp). Look for the sound, video etc icon. Confirm it does not have a yellow caution sign on it. If it does, it means your sound device is not installed and that is the reason there is no sound out put. So what need to do is this:
i. Connect to the internet.
ii. Right click on the sound, video etc icon on the device manager panel.
iii. From the menu that pops up click on “update driver”
The update process will begin automatically. At the end of its update you will get sound output.
Another way to do this is to use the system board CD that came with your CPU to install the sound. In this case you do not need to connect the internet. Just slot in the CD and use the same procedure as above:-
i. Connect to the internet.
ii. Right click on the sound, video etc icon on the device manager panel.
iii. From the menu that pops up click on “update driver”
If these fail. Then you can be sure that either your speakers are internally disconnected or they are broken down. Consult a technical support.

When connect high speed usb to my older laptop it runs very slowly.can you suggest me what drive to download?

Your old laptop itself may not have a high-speed USB 2.0 hub... no matter what driver, the hub may not support the new USB peripheral!

Check in your device manager (at the bottom of the list) to see what you've got. If it's an old hub, you are out of luck :(

Ibm 4230 driver

Try IBM Proprinter III XL, 3287, Epson FX, Any Dot Matrix Printer Driver. The 4247 drivers cannot be used for the 4230.
The 4230 is a seriously old printer. You might want to consider getting a new one.

Pcmcia wireless network card. What can I use?

Most laptops have Type II PCMCIA slots. Some laptops have one slot, others have two slots. Your C600 should be OK.
For details read the following :-
  • Type I cards can be up to 3.3 mm thick, and are used primarily for adding additional ROM or RAM to a computer.
    • Type II cards can be up to 5.5 mm thick. These cards are often used for modem and fax modem cards.
  • Type III cards can be up to 10.5 mm thick, which is sufficiently large for portable disk drives.
  • As with the cards, PCMCIA slots also come in three sizes:
  • A Type I slot can hold one Type I card
    • A Type II slot can hold one Type II card or one Type I card
  • A Type III slot can hold one Type III card or any combination of two Type I or II cards.

Your water softener may not be working properly. You may have to wash glasses by hand to remove accumulation.
