If you have purchased it within the last 2 years, it should be covered under the warranty. Use the information that came with the shaver to contact Braun about warranty.
If yours is no longer under warranty, you can buy a replacement charger at See link below

no--simply because there are live wire connections to the transformer that people will touch and then seek compensation for that carelessness
best if you junk it and simply buy a new charger

How do I replace the battery in a braun 5441 shaver?

You will need to remove the two screw covers in each side of the electric port at the bottom of the shaver. Remove the two screws underneath. You can then remove the back cover.

The correct battery type can be found at at the link below

You state that is works here so other than the charging not showing I don't see a real problem here. If it drains totally and then does not recharge it is one of two things. Bad battery or bad charger. Replace the charging station first.

Bought a Braun series 3 razor (#340 wet and dry). It hardly shaves the whiskers but it really messes my skin up. ( I was using a Norelco which did a pretty good job) I think there is something wrong...

You should be able to run your finger over the foil mesh on the Braun shaver to feel if there are any rough spots causing the problem you describe. If there is damage you may also be able to see it.

It could also be that the Braun shaver simply does not agree with your skin type. There are many people who are sensitive to different kinds of shaving methods. Foil shavers like Braun may not be the type of shaver for you

Need to know how to remove the case to replace the batteries on the braun 5441 electric shaver

First, remove the foil and cutter. Then remove the swivel frame by removing the two tine screws, Next, remove the two scew covers on the bottom. These are found on either side of the plug recepticle and look like part of the trim. You can pry them off with a small flat jewelers screwdriver or similar. Remove the screws underneath. You can then gently pry the front of the case off from th bottom. Once case is removed, you can lift out the circuit board to access the battery. For easier replacement, it is suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

You will find compatible battery type at See link below

Braun 5441: the on / off switch will not move to the fully off position. Cannot engage the "lock" switch. Can turn razor on and off, but razor turns on again at slightest bump.

there is likely a broken piece of plastis broken off on the back side of the switch and that loose piece is lodged in such a way as to not allow you to put the switch fully in the off position

to take it apart, you will need to remove the two screw covers at the bottom of the on each side of the AC port. remove screws undeneath to seperate fron and back. examine the backside of the switch for a loose piece.
once removed, the switch should work fine but it my move more freey than when it was new. this is because the broken piece you removed was a part that clicks and holds the switch into the on or off position

Charging stand

I just had the same problem, where the top of the charger would not stay down. I tried a spring clamp to keep it in place, and that works like a charm! Try it!

Problem shaving

People, never ever buy the Braun body cruzer!!!! It does not mather which version/type you buy, with 'all' versions the big trimmer fails to work after aprox, 18-24 months.

I have bought three version of them, the first one stopped working totally after about a year. With the second one the large trimmer blade did not work anymore, so I bought the newest cruzer version (shaver #3 by then) in the hope Braun would have solved this problem. But NO, the same thing happend. After 18 months the trimmer is broke and I can throw my shaver in the bin because you buy this thing for the trimmer.

Now about 3 years later I have in total bought 3 cruzer shavers from Braun and all are broke (i am also almost broke, those things are pretty expensive here). And of course Braun does not help, they just say you are beyond warranty or did not take good care of the product. But I did, I keeped it clean with the little brushes, I put oil on blades/parts, and when I had shaved in the shower I made dry.... so I wonder what Braun means with "taking good care for your product" but i think they mean something like: buy a new one and give us some more of your money.

I will NEVER buy a Braun product again! And be warned people, don't say you where not warned for this product when you buy one and is goes broke within a year.
