do a power drain
- shut down the comp, unplug the adaptor and unplug the battery press and hold the power button without any power connected to the comp - plug the battery and plug the ac adaptor and turn on the comp
Hook up your power adaptor to ac power without it being hooked up to the laptop and see if the green light stays on. If it does then you know your adaptor is okay. if your adaptor is only hooked up to ac power and the green light still turns off then you know your ac adaptor is bad.
Take out the battery from your laptop. Now hook up the ac adaptor to the laptop and if it stays green then you know your battery is bad but you also want to make sure you can get your laptop to turn on. Hopefully it will turn on with only the ac adaptor hooked up to it.
the vr\ery first thing what u have to do is that disconnect the ac adaptor and take the battery out of the computer and then press and hold down the power button without the battery and the adaptor for one minute and then connect the ac adaptor and put the battery back in and then try and turn it on and what u can do is that try and turn on the computer only with the battery and then take the battery out and try and turn it on only with the adaptor, and then what u can try is that try with the different adaptor having same configuration, and try and connect the ac adaptor into the different wall outlet....good luck
Measuring the voltage outputs without applying a load doesn?t eliminate the adaptor as the problem. You also have to know how may amps it can supply as well.
To answer you specific question common problems are defective battery, A/C power supply and my favorite?s defective power connector or circuitry inside.
When you plug in the A/C power adaptor do any of the LEDs light, up? Does anything happen? Also try removing the battery, plugging in the A/C adaptor and try powering up.
