I just bought this used and i tried to test it before installing it. I got the unit hooked up from the car battery where i get the blue light to where it powers up but when i press the eject button or try to get the screen to come out it dosent do either of the 2. I have the grounds hooked up and the parking brake wire grounded. The remote and power hooked up to the battery but all i get is the blue light to show the deck is getting power but no buttons will work. I dont know what else to do please help me out someone.

I hooked up the yellow (battery) and red (acc) to the positive terminal on the battery and the black (ground) and blue (side brake) to the negative terminal. It powers up but the screen wont open and the eject wont work no buttons do.

KW-AVX710 Screen stays black (off) untill I hit the open button

So I decided to verify all the connections after I got frustrated with it. Everything was correct except one wire that was on the new harness I got that for my car that was labeled "12V fused" (supposedly the key on power source). I tested it with my volt meter and it did not have power at any time, even with the key on. The constant power source wire was hooked up so that's why I was able to open the face and eject CD's and DVD's but not do anything else (like when your ignition is off). So I ran a new wire from my fuse panel and everything works now. Just like my Thermodynamcis professor says "nullius in verba" (take no one's word for it), just because the wire was labeled doesn't mean it's right! Hope this helps.....

Disc wont eject

Hi jamie,
It seems you have opened the top cover of your unit. Now take a dry cotton bud clean the roller which you can find right in front. Please do not use any liquid to clean the same.
Please cast your vote for me if this solve your problem.

I have found that copied dvd's don't always work properly and even the slightest blemish or scratch renders it inop also it is illegal to sell a copied disc as it infringes copyright, I understand that the genuine disc's are expensive but you get what you pay for.

Jensen vm9311ts problem

The player thiinks the CD is still in the player. you have a shorted or open sensor. Usually thee players have 3 phto sensors to tell the controller that a Disc is inserted , or ejected or present. Sometimes a wire or piece of lint covers a sensor and makes the controller think the CD is still there. Get you a can of Air from Radio Shack and blow out the DVD drive You might get lucky and this do the job.

Jvc-avx1 wont eject

Try to power down the unit and the power it back up then press the eject button. If this does not work there might be a hole in the front of the unit which you could insert a paper clip which will actuate a mechanical release switch. The last thing you can try is to open up the unit and manually rotate the load and unload motor and this will eject the DVD. Restore the cover and then start up the unit to see if things are ok.
