Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Hi there, what you need to do is reset the video display. Do this by following steps :-
Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)
Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep once when you first press it, then again 5 seconds later. When you hear this second beep release the power button.
Step 3. Wait for your PS3 to start up.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

Tips for a great answer:
Note: How to reset video output settings
If you are attempting to change to an HDMI cable from a different video cable or if the video output settings do not match those required for the display in use, the screen may stay black. If the screen stays black for more than 30 seconds, you may need to reset the video output settings of the PS3.
