Question about Bissell Vacuums

1 Answer

I have a bissell powerlifter carpet and upholstery cleaner purchased in 2000-2001 by my wife. the sprayer does not work, it appears that the liquid is not being pulled up out of the tank. i am wondering if there is a part missing from machine. something that may need to go into the main tank. please advise.

I knew someone who had a problem with bissell before. I think they had to take it apart and clean the hose, dirt could be clogging it. Or you could try contacting the company.

How can I operate the Bissell PROheat 2X carpet/upholstery cleaner without instructions?

Your solenoid that activates the hand unit is most likely burned up. Bissell 2X machines generally last 4 to 6 uses and a solenoid burns up. This is the only machine that we do not offer repair service for in my store. It is a terribly poor quality design.
BTW, the brushes aren't supposed to turn when the machine is in the upright position.

The tools hose on a bissel powerbrush carpet cleaner leaks

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your BISSELL deep cleaner. Your upholstery hose should not leak when used. There is a small o-ring on the end of the hose that may be missing, or if the tool is cracked it could leak. A service center could better help you identify the problem.
