I need help at trying to work this oven ... E.g what the symbols mean ... How to set the time ... Iv been trying for ages without any luck ... Hopefully someone can help me lol Thanks Tom

Tom,
I know it sounds moronically simple, but your best bets are:
A) Contact the dealer. He should have an owner's manual (free) available for you. If he's a really great dealer, he'll have someone come out to your house to set up the equipment for you. Either he or his installatiopn contractor should have done this for you. Little enough considering what you've spent.
B) If you're more confident, Google "Hotpoint + (Your Model Number)." That should bring up a link to the Product Manual, which you can print, or save as a PDF file.
If you do not understand any of the terms I've used here, you may email me at: joelb21@gmail.com
Good luck any way you choose to go! If you are NOT 100%m certain of what you are doing....STOP! You will be dealing with 220 Volts, and dont want to get hurt!

Help - Knob positions on New World Debut single oven

Don't know how long ago you posted this but I have the same issues! The left hand dial deals with function and the fan oven setting is 2nd one. The grill setting is the furthest one round...I think. The right hand dial is temperature. 180 is at about half past. 200 is at about 40 mins past if you get my drift. All this I have kind of figured out through trial and error... Now I've just got to figure out how to change the light bulbs....

Hi. I've moved to a new home with a Stoves 720EF oven. I was find last week but now I cant make it work at all. I think it is on automatic but I dont know how to turn that off and don't even know...

If the oven is on automatic, a small 'A' will appear in the clock window. To remove this press the second and third buttons from the left simultaneously.
If you need more information, supply an email address and I will send you a pdf copy of the handbook.

I've got an Hoover HDC884X Built in Electric Double Oven. Can you tell me what I need to do grill toast. Don't understand the knob controls and the manual doesn't help as it is too generic

Hi, I understand your frustration, the manual supplied is next to useless! The 'obvious' settings appear NOT to work (as the grill remains on full heat setting all the time). The only way we've managed is to lower the food away from the grill..... not ideal I know - but also we don't use it for toast.
I suppose Hoover would be the next best port of call for assistance, oh for a proper manual, not a horrible generic one that attmpts to cover every model they produce - AND FAILS.
This is purchasers main complaint about buying Hoover ovens it seems.
I'll come back to see if anyone can supply a solution to our problem.... and hope it's not a fault in manufacture.

Oven failer

You have reset the timer from the auto function, to the manual function.
You should see a hand symbol showing for manual operation.
It is a question of pressing the buttons in the correct sequence., or if it is a anologue timer, turning the knob until you see the hand symbol showing.
Hope this helps.

I need the instructions for a diplomatic double fan oven as the second oven is set on auto timer and I can't get it to work.

i had the same prob..... manual operation, to set the programmer to manual (cancelling any auto setting),press the cook time and ready time buttons simultaneously.

To set time of day, press the cook time and ready time buttons simultaneously and keep the buttons depressed. Use the plus and miuns buttons to the the time. A(auto symbol goes out cookpot symbol comes on.

Diplomat Oven ADP3650 Instructions

User manuals are hard to find.
The problem I had was setting the clock on a single Diplomat oven, with no clock button. Here's my solution :

DIPLOMAT OVEN OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Diplomat single oven is controlled by two knobs and a set of buttons along the middle of the control panel.
The left knob sets the temperature of the oven, while the right knob selects the function to be performed, e.g. fan oven, grill, etc.
The buttons along the middle set the cooker clock, the start and end times of cooking, and the “+” and “-“ buttons will increase or decrease the time shown on the cooker’s clock.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OVEN WILL NOT OPERATE UNTIL THE CLOCK IS SET.
If there is any interruption to the power supply (including manually switching off at the main switch) the oven will not operate until the clock is reset.
Here’s how to set the clock:
First press simultaneously the first two buttons to the left of the control panel. They are marked as a Bell symbol (Alarm) , and a steaming Cooking Pot (Start of Cooking Time). Then immediately press the plus “+” or minus “-“ buttons to increase or decrease the time displayed. When the desired time has been reached, leave it for a few seconds, and it will remain set at this time. Any further changes to the displayed time will require this procedure to be repeated.
Hope this helps!
