Question about Washing Machines
I have an Asko Washing Machine that stopped running mid cycle. Now it won't turn on or do anything. Is this a fuse problem? I found two fuses on the back and took them out. However, I can't tell if they are any good or not as they are solid white...can't tell if they have blown or not. Trying to find a solution before paying a technician $90 just to show up at my house.
If all your power did shut down of the machine it might well be a fuse problem.
If you have a mult meter you can check the resistance of the fuses. they must be near 0 . infinit resistance means blown.
otherway to test it lol for the DIY under us take a 9 volts batterie and conect one pole to the fuse . now connect tongue to fus and other pole. Little shock? no blown fuse.
nothing than the fuse is blown. ( by the way not the most pleasurable feeling)
Let me know if they were blown or not.

But what if the fuse keeps blowing? I have the same problem, we replaced the fuse, the machine came back on, we did our happy dance, I put in a load, started it, it ran about 10 minutes, I was vacuuming the laundry room, so I could keep an eye on it... I glance over, and the display is dark!! My son pulled the fuses again, and the blown one (same one as before), the holder part is dark on the plastic on the outside, the bottom of the new fuse was melted and could barely get it out. Once out, saw that the inside of the holder looked 'fried'. So now we're not sure if there is something else blowing the fuse, or if it's some component in this fuse installation that needs to be replaced, other than the fuse... or maybe we need to buy the same fuses that were in it before? I wish Asko would give out more information on their machines...
