SOURCE: white screen sony ericsson w810i

i got the say problem 2 days back. I read some pots in forums. This is what worked for me. First fully charge the phone some. Get a friend's phone or something. Then get ready with the data cable and your computer with internet.

Goto Sony ericsson site.

search for w810i SEUS Sonys update system.

At the bottom result it says"Sony Ericsson - Support - Update Service Compatible with K510i W810i W200i .

Click on that and dowload the program. At the right corner it shows the phones which supports it.

install the program and run it.

do exactly what it says.

it worked for me. I got all my contacts and messages back.
Good luck

Blank screen

A white blank screen? That sounds like the virus changed your display settings. Click Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the task manager. Press and hold the Ctrl key plus the Alt Key then hit the Del key. When the task manager opens up Click File at the upper left corner of the window then select New Task RUN. When the create New Task Window opens type: explorer.exe and hit OK. See if it starts populating your desktop icons and shows the start menu and task bar. If so, the virus changed your settings.

To change your display background click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. When it opens select the Desktop tab and change the desktop background. Hopefully the white will go away.

You may have to get into Safe Mode to do the above if the virus disabled the Task Manager.

Turn off alarm for calendar?

As far is I can tell there is not a global setting for turning off the alarm on the calender. Whenever you create a "Schedule" event on your calender the default seems to be for a "Reminder" alarm to go off "On Time"; that is to say the alarm will go off at the exact of your scheduled event. However, when you first create a "schedule" event you can scroll down to "Reminder" and choose from "On Time", "10 Minutes before", "30 Minutes before", "1 Hour before" or you can choose the one you would want which is "No Alarm". You can also find options on that screen for controlling what kind of alarm you want including the choice of having a "Vibrate only" alert to you scheduled event. You can always go back and "Edit" any events that are already scheduled and deselect the alarm for those events.

If you don't want to mess with the different alarms and alarm settings you might consider creating from the "Create Event" menu either a "Task" or a "Note" for a particular date on the calender. There are no default alarms associated with either of those. Create "Note is very easy to use. Just select a date and you can enter the time and other appointment information in the "Note" area of the "Create Note" screen.

I hope this is a helpful solution for someone.

Tobisha Laptop, black screen with arrow upon start-up

Hi Morticia,

I think that the explorer.exe is not loading on. this can be caused due to various reasons.

Follow the below steps to straighten this issue :

* On the black screen with arrow, press ctrl-alt-del keys.
* This should bring up the WINDOWS TASK MANAGER.
*Click on NEW TASK which is on the bottom right corner on the TASK MANAGER.
*This should bring up CREATE NEW TASK window, Type in "explorer.exe" and press ok....

This should bring back your desktop screen.

Please vote for me if you think this solution helped you fix your issue.

My Sony Ericsson v600i fell hard to the floor and now when switched on displays a white screen. It makes the right noises as it were starting up but screen remains white. Need to get it working,...

I am sorry to inform you that the phone is damaged. Do you have insurance on it? Is there a warranty on it? If you do not have insurance on it do this. Get it. Find out when it actually starts covering your phone. After that period get a new one. Hope this helps, remember that these cell phones cannot be dropped, cannot be subjected to sweat or moisture. They are like babies, handle with care. Hope this helps. You can go to this link below for more information about your phone. Just copy and paste into your browser.

White screen of doom.

If your screen is completly white then unfortuanetly the screen itself will be at fault & would need to be replaced. On some LCD models there is a small fuse on the drive board attached to the screen, again on certain models this can be accessed & replaced but there is no guarentee that this is the only problem.

V600i will not turn on ...

sounds like you may have a battery issue, try a new battery first, after that, you might as well get a new phone, since repairs are going to cost more than the phone does.
