No audio

Hi there,
Dealing with no sound problem, first thing you can check is the Physical hardware/Speakers, Make sure speaker volume is ok or if its properly connected, if all is properly configure proceed to next step
2 .Make sure that the Volume control is not on Mute, look at the lower side of the screen you will see there a small speaker icon, Make Sure that it dont have (x)mark on it. if you dont have the icon:
Check Device Manager: Right Click My Computer>Manage>Device Manager

Look for Sound, Video and Game Controllers make sure none of the list got (x) or (!)

if it has (x) on it right click the driver and select enable
if it has (!) download the Audio driver HERE ..
Installing Audio Driver normally fix any software related sound issues.

You need to have the sound drivers installed, if you already have the drivers, they must be corrupted, please go to control panel hardware and sound device manager and right click your sound driver, and click uninstall,, afterwards restart your computer that should fix the problem

Installing drivers

Hi thewaysofthe,

There are plenty of site that offer free downloads to update drives, but all they really do is download the software examine your problems, and then ask you to pay for it to be fixed. So, what I would do is go to your control panel and click on the system icon. In there you'll find a hardware tab. Click that on and go to device manager. Then go down to the sounds, video and game controllers, and if the driver is missing then you'll see a ! in a yellow triangle. You can ask windows to reinstall the driver by right clicking that ! icon and choose install or update driver. Follow the instructions and it will walk you through updating the driver.

If you don't see a ! on your sound device, then perhaps there is something else that is wrong. Check to see if you have it on mute. Check to see if the speakers power button is turned on. And lastly if all else fails, try and reboot again. Sometimes things just magically fix themselves on a reboot.

Good Luck,

And don't forget to leave a rating on my solution.
