Gizmodo.com made the very same comparison. Navigon got the highest score. It has the best wide screen user interface. For the complete review go to :http://gizmodo.com/5343981/the-best-iphone-navigation-app-telenav-vs-navigon-vs-tomtom

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Why Android is Better than the iPhone, iOS 5

As with past iPhone updates, iOS 5 plays catch-up with Apple's competitors and Android in particular, while adding unique features such as Twitter integration, iMessage, and online storage through iCloud.

But is that enough to solidify the iPhone's standing as the best smartphone around? Not necessarily. Android still has several features that the iPhone lacks, and may still be worth considering if these features are important to you:
1. GPS Navigation.
Android phones have offered free, voice-guided GPS since October 2009, whereas the iPhone's Maps app requires users to look at their handsets and read off directions as they drive.
The iPhone has third-party apps with turn-by-turn voice guidance, such as Mapquest, but Android's built-in method allows users to jump directly into navigation from address links in other apps. With the iPhone, you must manually copy and paste the address into your app of choice.
2. Widgets.
Android widgets can show certain types of information directly on the home screen, such as breaking news, sports scores, incoming messages, or media playback controls. In fairness, a lot of Android widgets add unnecessary clutter to the phone, but if you can find the right widgets for you, they'll either save time or present information that you might've otherwise overlooked.
3. Hardware choices.
Software features aside, Android provides more hardware choices for phone buyers, including handsets with bigger screens, physical keyboards or features not yet available on the iPhone, such as dual-core processors. The iPhone 4's hardware is excellent, but it may not be the perfect fit for you.
4. Expanded voice commands.
The rumor of expanded voice commands in iOS5 didn't pan out, so for now, Android provides more voice command options that are built directly into the operating system.
Android users can dictate e-mails and text messages and get directions by speaking to the phone. They can also load music in third-party apps such as Pandora with the "listen to" command, whereas the iPhone's music-by-voice feature is only linked to the iPod app.
5. Setting Default Apps.
The iPhone's lack of native GPS navigation wouldn't be an issue if you could set third-party apps as the default for certain functions. On Android, if you want to use alternative apps for mail, Web browsing or navigation, you can set those apps as the default for all related functions.
For instance, setting Dolphin HD as the default Web browser opens all links from other apps in Dolphin instead of the stock Android browser. It's a subtle feature that makes customization much easier on Android compared to the iPhone.
About author:
Chary Telford, the writer of digital multimedia software from dvd ripper for mac, makes it easy to find what software, including dvd to avi mac, mac dvd to mp4, etc, are the best for you. I turn it on now it says navigon software cannot be started hold on off key pressed and press reset simultaneously..still doesnt work...help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Delete the app and reinstall it via iTunes.
If that doesn't work, you might want to consider restoring your iPhone via iTunes, then reinstalling Navigon. Hope that helps.

How to choose the best app for your driving needs?

You must consider pricing. Most GPS apps for the iPhone require a one-time fee with no subscription. Normally, this includes a preloaded database of maps and Points of Interest. In addition to sparing you ongoing monthly fees, another advantage to a traditional app download is that no cellular or Wi-Fi connection is required to navigate. But a drawback is that maps and POIs can become outdated and require the purchase of periodic updates from the manufacturer. Often minor upgrades are free and frequent, but over time, major new versions and data updates may require an additional fee. Performance is another important consideration .We test iPhone navigation apps much the same way we test standalone PNDs. The better apps from portable GPS device manufacturers such as Magellan, Navigon, and TomTom mimic the look and performance of their dedicated units. But whatever app you choose, here are some factors that we look at in testing and that you should consider when shopping like Entering destination/POI, Info for driver Routing options and more.

Hi, anyone know if there is a cheaper way to update maps for western and eastern europe on a Tomtom Go 910? Mr Tomotom wants &70 and I may as well buy a new sat nav!

The only other way to get maps is to look for third party map files. Sometimes they are free. I've not tried to find one for my tomtom but have for my magellan. So if someone has done one then you just need to search the web for something like tomtom map download and the area covered.

"Poor GPS Reception" error on iPhone Tom Tom GPS

Unfortunately it appears the iPhone's GPS chip isn't up to much as we've all suspected. Some people can get it working while many are reporting, like you, that they get drop outs and poor signal strength errors. This is happening accross all the iPhone Sat Nav apps so it points the finger at the GPS chip itself, especially as many of these people are stating they have dedicated tomtoms and the like that work fine. I've tried Copilot, tomtom and others on the iPhone 3GS and none are able to keep signal long enough to be any good. In fact they are a complete waste of money. It's no suprise Tomtom are releasing a cradle for the iPhone which includes a seperate more powerful GPS receiver...
