Question about Panasonic PT-AE900U Multimedia Projector

Vertical lines Any resolution to the evenly spaced vertical line problem?

Mine was 1 year old and had the vertical lines and the more I messed with it, it eventually just went to a clear screen, no menus or anything. I had a local TV repairman look at it. He consulted Panasonic tech support and suggested the mainboard has failed. I bought a new TV and now have decided to try this again. Wonder if anyone has a unit with bad lamp circuit? Maybe we can combine two to make one.

Hi burton29

This is a common Mainboard failure with all makes and models of Projectors.

Will unfortunately either have to be replaced or repaired by a certified technician.

Thanks for using Fixya

I have a PT-AE900E & have developed lines running vertically down the screen evenly spaced apart. What is causing this??

Hello,

If these lines are coming with the input signal then you have to check the Cable connectors.

If these lines are coming without the signal then check the panels and service then recheck.

Viren

Bad lines on Infocus IN24 images

Hi Dan

The only way to get rid of this is to either have the Mianboard repaired or replaced.

If the Projector is stil under warranty - it will cover it.

If not - It is quite expensive !

Hope this helps you.

If connected to the PC, try lowering the resolution. The maximum resolution supported by this model is SVGA compressed (800 x 600). At higher resolutions, I have seen a vertical stripe similar to what you described
