This is valid for the ClassPad 300Plus (OS version 2.2) but it should work for the ClassPad 330 OS version 3.x

In the MAIN menu screen press the Action menu, then Transformation sub menu. At the bottom of the drop down list you have dms an toDMS.
If you enter toDMS(18.58) you get dms(18,34,48). Then if you use dms( on the calculated result: dms(ans) you get 18.58
So if you have a result in deg, min, sec you convert it to decimal degrees by making use of the dms( command.

Phasor addition on classpad 330

Open up keyboard, go to 'cat' tab and scroll down to get ' <( ' symbol.

Input the magnitude followed by angle separated by a comma (E.g. <(15,10) ). The first element in the bracket is the magnitude of the phasor while the second element is the angle.

To do phasor addition simply add more of the '<(' symbol. (E.g. <(15,10) + <(12,5) is the addition of phasor_1 with magnitude 15 and angle 10 and phasor_2 with magnitude 12 and angle 5 ).

Note: the symbol ' <( ' appears at the very bottom of the list and the '<' symbol is actually more flat in appearance like how a normal phasor is usually represented.

You do not need any driver for the ClassPad 330. You connect it through the USB port. If it came with the ClassPad manager 32 bits application, just install it. Windows 64 bits system have a 32 bits subsystem to run 32 bit applications.

Can you update a classpad 300 to a 330 operating system

It depends. If the ClassPad has OS 1.x you can upgrade it to 2.x freely. However you need to buy (separately) the ClassPad manager 3.x to be able to upgrade the OS to version 3.x. After that further upgrades appear to be free.

To make sure you are using the correct angle units look at the bottom of screen where it says Alg Standard Real Rad. If you use degrees instead of Rad it should display Deg.

To set the correct angle unit, press the Setting icon at the lowest left of screen and choose radian or degree and select decimal calculation if you need evaluated decimal results. Tap the set button to validate your choices.
