Apple ipod

from apple If you have previously synced your device with iTunes, you may be able to reset the passcode by restoring the device:
  1. Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
  2. If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
  3. If you have chosen to encrypt your backup, it will contain the passcode. Disable backup encryption before restoring from backup. Learn more about iOS backups in iTunes.

Ipod is disabled connect to itunes

This happens some times when the soft ware crashes. It is not generally a problem with the ipod directionally. You just need to restore the ipod, and this will put a new version of the software on.

Once at the computer you will need itunes open and your ipod connected

1) Make sure you have the latest vertion of itunes downloading
you can check this by going to { HELP>CHECK FOR UPDATES}

2) On the ipod hold the sleep wake button at the top and the home button on the bottom at the same time until you see the apple logo

3) Once you see the apple logo - release the sleep/wake button but remain holding the home button

4) You will see an error message from your computer
f53db07.jpg

5) click ok - Then the restore button - the restore will take about 15- 20 minutes

Note: if you have previously backed up the ipod it will prompt you to restore from back up in the restore process

6) re - sync your content after the restore is complete

7) after sync disconnect and use

I hoped this helped-

** NOTE: If you get an error while restoring the ipod try and restore from another computer ***

My ipod won't let me listen to music and when i plug it into my computer to charge, it says restore it...but i can't restore it because i will lose all my pics and music that is on it, because it is not...

Your music is your responsibility. The iPod only syncs from the computer to the iPod unless it's purchased content.
Find your music files, put them in iTunes, follow the instrucitons for restoring your iPod.
BTW, the pictures are really small and are only good for use on your iPod so getting them off of there is usually not of much use.
Use the Five Rs to restore the iPod. You will lose the data that is currently on it if you restore but you can always re-sync the data to the iPod. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/

I put the music on my computer and plug in my ipod it should sync but it doesn't

I thnk u shud restore your ipod to factory setting using itunes. Several reason may have caused your itunes to crash.Maybe u disconnected your ipod before it has completed to sync your music and or your ipod might be affected with a virus. you better restore it to avoid further disapointments. I have an ipod i have experienced such problems. The only risk is you are going to loose the current songs in your ipod

Will not turn on at all

1. Open iTunes.
2. Connect iPod.
3. Click on your iPod, and click Restore.
This should solve it as it restores the original software, note, all data will be erased.

If this does not help: Call APPLE.

Apple ipod 1gb locked and dont know the combination and cant sync

Connect it to the computer you normally sync with.

Open iTunes then disconnect the iPod.

If that doesn't work you can "hard reset" by restoring it to factory defaults. Doing this also erases everything you have on it so you will lose your movies, music, files, etc.

Connect it to the computer and open iTunes.

Click "Restore" and select "Restore" or "Restore and Update" to make sure you're on the latest firmware.

Good luck.

If you come across any one of the above Error or Alert messages, then either your iPod/iTunes has gone corrupted and your iPod may be in for a crash or maybe you’re already facing an iPod crash. iPod might crash or get corrupt due to any of the reasons from hardware failure to corrupt iPod cache to damaged Files or to damaged disk structure.

You must be cautious and try to recover lost data from your iPod from reliable and proved software which is non-destructive and can recover all data—damaged or deleted. Any compromise can thwart your recovery process. Try Stellar Phoenix iPod Recovery Software.
