Question about Washing Machines

2 Answers

I have an HEC1050w washing mashine that can only be just over a year old and it has just stopped mid cycle with the Door lock light flashing 7 times which is a motor overheat error. Could this be warn brushes on the motor? The machine is used probably 3 times a week. Any help would be appreciated Thank you Kevin

Try replacing the capacitor But if problem is same then its faulty/weak motor causing this problem.Replace the motor and it should solve the problem. Also see if the motor connection wire is cracked or got cut in between,If that is the case then the motor connecting wire is the problem causing this. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

Check for friction on the drive, you can look from belt to turn the motor physically and check if therer is a tight drive fitting possible with dirt build up into the system.
Secondly check the load you are using, if so try with a lighter load just to confirm our doubts.
If so there can be errors of faulty motor, if with the capacitor then check if the capactior is bad.

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.

Hoover hpe 236. water not draining, stops mid cycle, lights flash

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Hope this is of some help to you.

Duet Sport stopped in mid cycle

Read the Manuel and see if they offer an over ride, first.
Since you already tried rebooting the machine, I won't suggest that!
If no go you will need service at this time!
