If the bluetooth device is not detected in the BIOS, chances are, your laptop did not ship with a bluetooth device. Try to go to support.dell.com and check the original system configuration to verify if your system indeed came with a bluetooth card. you can also check with dell support about it. if you have verified the card is available and it is enabled in the BIOS, try to remove and reconnect the card and if it is still not detected, you may have to get a new bluetooth card or request for warranty service/replacement if applicable.

Seems like your Bluetooth and Wifi settings are disabled from BIOS.
On laptops usually there is a setting in BIOS where you can disable/Enable Wifi+Bluetooth. Shutdown computer Turn on computer and press "F2" to go to BIOS settings Find settings for Wifi+Bluetooth and set it to default.
Save settings and restart computer You will be able to see your Bluetooth and Wifi.
Hope this works

Wireless not found

You should check the BIOS. Although it is extremely unlikely that the BIOS has it disabled. Verify that whether you have a wireless card installed from there. If so some new laptops have a switch which disables the wireless card. This can be usually be found on front or sides. You could also check device manager and make sure the NIC is enabled. To get the device manager Start -> Run Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. Expand and check for X or ! with red / yellow color for each (if on a failure that will be shown)

HOW DO YOU TURN BLUETOOTH ON

Check the BIOS to ensure the wireless card is detected. Also verify the Wireless setting is turned on and not set to Always Off.
If the Bluetooth device is installed, also verify the radio LED is enabled. You can turn the wireless and Bluetooth cards on or off with the wireless switch.
If the card does not show up in the BIOS or Device Manager, try reseating the card.

Cant find my wireless card in device manager in acer travel mate 2300

Hi,

In some Acer models, there is a software switch in Start/All Programs/Acer Launch Manager. If this is missing, you need to reinstall since even with the WiFi hard switch activated, this application is required. This is so especially if a new/clean/OEM install of the OS has been done on the laptop.

In some models, there is a hard switch either at the front or at the side to activate the internal wifi (and bluetooth). Still in other, there is button on the leading edge of the computer which also serves as an indicator lamp,

Some models also have WiFI enable/disable in the BIOS/CMOS setup.

Still others have a button along with the Easy-launch strip (top) together with the those for email , bluetooth , Acer Arcade & others.

As shown above, depending on the specific model/region version of your laptop, the WifI activation can be varied.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
