Try to disconnect all the output connector from the power supply plug the power supply to the wall outlet then using a voltage meter measure the output make sure you have 5v 12v and 24v output..If one of this voltage is missing then you have to replace a fusible resistor at the power supply..but After powering the power supply and all the output are present and you plug inn the output connector and the 12 and 24 drops then that is a problem on the inverter board and to the audio board you need to replace them...inverter boards is available online at shopjimmy.com

ok..did you see the terminal post of the 12v and 24v?trace the line from the PCB backward examine all the parts that this line gone through.you need to have a ohm meter so that you can test the parts..to give you an brief idea with the power supply let me explain it so that you.ll get an idea how you can fix it.
The power supply is a switching power supply so therefore this type of power supply requires an signal to switch on..You can see a transformer at the bottom this transformer divides the voltage output such as 5v 12v and 24v AC.the primary input of this transformer is DC voltage 110v/220vdc and the output is AC.On the output pins of the transformer example 12vac,it will go through a diode then a filter capacitor a fusible resistor then output terminal post...a defective capacitor will drop the voltage so you need to check the capacitor also.there is also a regulator transistor on it check and replace defective transistor...good luck and pls post any further questions pls rate my help..

if you can measure a voltage to the capacitor then go forward untill you reach the output connector of the supply you should notice to which point the voltage has cut off then replace the part/component which is open or shorted that causes the voltage drops...

In that case either you have a short on one of them or in the source. Disconnect all consumers from them and measure again - if the voltages are up then check al the consumers one by one till you find the shorted one and fix it if you can.  If the voltages are still down then start checking the parts on the power source in opposed direction: stabilizers, filter coils, capacitors, rectifiers and main transformer.

Fuse location on ns-lcd47hd-09

Most modern TV sets don't usually have a separate fuse. Most have a safety cutout (Sometimes a fuse) soldered on to the main power inlet electronic board. Its inside the TV and will require the back to be taken off it. Make sure its unplugged before you do anything!

Insignia quit working after storm

Check the fuses on the power supply board first. They usually blow when you get a power surge. You may be able to replace them and get the TV running for a few dollars. If the fuses are good then the power supply board will be the issue. The main board should not be damaged because the surge has to go through the power supply board first.

Ihave a insignia ns-lcd47hd-09 tv. when i press the power button the light turns blue but no picture comes on only black screen.

I think your insignia is set for SHOP mode instead of HOME mode. I changed mine to HOME and it's working fine now. Press your menu button and then scroll down to setup. You're looking for Plug and PLay which should be the very first choice. If it's greyed out as mine was you'll have to change your imput from HDMI to TV in order to get to the P&P. Once you're in the Plug and Play your first choice is language. The second should be SHOP or HOME. Make sure to select HOME. You can skip scanning for channels. This fixed my problem with the blue light. The store uses SHOP so if someone plays around and changes something, all they have to do is shut off the TV and turn it back on. Please let me know if this works.

Insignia ns-lcd47hd09 i check voltages again solid 5v stand by and 5v on but 12v and 24v are not holding raise to 36v then OL disconnected every thing still same problem any suggestions about cause thanx.

It means the feedback circuits for regulating the 12/24vdc is not working, use 12v car bulb (1157) to load down the 12vdc supply and two 1157 is series to load down the 24vdc power supply and see it if still rises up, the stange thing is that you said it rises to 36vdc (12 + 24 = 36), is it being measure correctly?

Insignia NS-LCD47HD-09 power on with no picture are there known issues

Known issue: cheaply made.
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there are some troubleshoot you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.
