Lift up the lid, and squeeze the clips on the supports, and pull the lid toward you. Lid slides off. Then look along both sides ( edge ) of the printer, you will see about 3 elongated holes. Push a small flat screwdriver through these to release the clips which hold on the grey trim around the edges.
Next slide the rear part of the trim to the left, to remove it. At this point you should undo the 4 hex screws that hold on the top ( the lid is attached to it by ribbon cable ). There are two at the front, two at the back ( the ones at the back are in 'tunnels' ).
Ribbon cable will unclip from the right side of the printer ( the circuit board ) and you can set the lid / top aside. The actual side of the printer simply hinge out. Everything else is fairly straightforward.

hi x photomike,
check in the printers and devices for your printer hp 8250 and right click printer properties, printer prefereces and look for the quality/speed tab and press it to normal
Hope it helps bro!!!!
There is a plastic switch that detects paper. You will probably have to disassemble it to get to it. It could be dusty and jammed or broken or stuck. If it's broken, you might check to see how much a local shop will repair it for. Often, it's just better to buy a new one. Good luck.
I know your model is the 8250, but if you follow this video it should give you same desired result. When you go to chose the printer it should be the 8200 series and same for the driver. Hope this helped!
I know this sounds silly but did you pull the blue tape off of the printer cartridge before you installed it? If you did, try removing it and installing it again. Maybe it was not aligned right. Also, there is a way in the HP printer software to instruct it that you installed a new cartridge - try that too.

I have the same issue with the printer but I do have a solution for you.
I do know how to reset the error codes.
Start by turning off the printer and unplugging the power cord.
Next, you need to hold the Instant Share and Photo Tray buttons simultaneously while plugging in the power cord. If done correctly you will see the LCD Screen turn green with the numbers '1 2 3 4 5'.
After that is done, you need to unplug the printer, and replug it.
I myself have not been able to resolve the issue as to why it is giving me the error code. Any help would be appreciated.
