Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
The scanner will always scan the documents as JPED or BMP, its the OCR software in your computer which will convert it to editable text.
if you dont have any OCR software then you can open the scanned image (TIFF) in microsoft office imaging software (something like that) and click on the W (Word) icon on the top toolbar to convert it to text
