Which one? the firmware (printers display) or the software (brother mfl-pro suite?

anyway for the first one press menu then arrow down til 0. press OK. arrow down til language. press OK. chose anglaise. press ok.

For the latter one (software) you have to change the PC settings to English ;-)

In the printer default screen we somehow clicked the wrong language and it is french...can you help us get it back to english?

Normal 0 You have to reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. During installation you will be asked what language and then select ENGLISH. Then follow the instructions.
But first do this.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

It prints in bad language format

It's not the printer that determines the language that is printed. It is the operating system and/or the program that is printing. Also, what you type.

In computers that run Windows operating systems it is chosen in the Control Panel. Use the Start button. Choose Control Panel then Regional and Language Options. Select your language in the pulldown menu. The entire system, including prompts, titles, etc. will now revert to that language. It will not, however, do a translation. If you have documents that were written in English they will still be English. If you want to type in English and print in French it will not happen. You must type in French to print in French...Comprenez-vous ?

A simple translator is available at http://www.reverso.net.
